Rooms at Jasmine Hostel (if you manage to get one) are modern and well equiped.

Even if we had a reservation, on our arrival there were no free rooms and they gave us a room in a "friend" nearby hotel. We weren't the only people that had these problem (at least two more people were in the same situation). We don't now why they adhere Booking if after all they do not respect reservations. - When we were given a room in the other hotel we accepted as they assured us that "room's characteristics were almost the same to theirs" (we couldn't see any room as there were no free room in the hotel). - Afterwars we new that we had been given a single room (paid for a double one) with no hot water, etc, etc. - When tried to speak to hostel manager to try arrive to an agreement concerning the price he didn't want to hear about us saying that we had to assume the situation as we had accepted it. We were the responsible of the situation!!! - Finally we decide to quit the hostel in advance (even if we had already paid the reserved nights) to avoid further problems. To avoid.

Very nice place to stay for a visit to Siem Reap. Relaxing atmosphere near the swiming pool and reception area. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. I think this hostel has perfect value/cost ratio.

A little bit shocking last 100m from the main street to the entrance of hostel. The feeling like you are coming to the garage or car repair station:)

Very clean and spacious room and toilet

The breakfast was just about qualifying to be a breakfast. "Fruit salad" as served in breakfast comprised a slice of pine-apple, another of watermelon and one more of a banana. Well that apart, the staff was cordial.

It was wonderful. Run by a Cambodian family employing people from local villages. Food was really good. lovely swimming pool and garden with a really nice social area. great opportunity to chat with others so really good for those travelling alone. I heartily recommend this hotel if you want an inexpensive experience. Very convenient for both town and temples with a ready supply of tuk tuks always ready outside.

          Pillows were a bit hard

The server is really kind, they help me to give the call to the boat company when their pick up was much later. The swimming pool is clean and the environment is very peaceful. I like it very much, for this price it's perfect.

A little bit far from central market, need 15 min by walk

Clean rooms, good beds, staff ok, nice sitting area and pool, very reasonably priced, temples amazing,

About 20 mts walk to down town, but you can take a tuk tuk for 2 us or maybe less, town Siem Reap is nothing special, but the temples....

I asked for a quiet, non-smoking room with a strong wireless signal (having misread [?] that wireless internet was available throughout the hostel) and I was pleased to have been assigned a non-smoking room facing the communal area, which resulted in a very strong wireless signal from inside my room. The only drawback was that the music was turned on pretty loud the second night. They were very helpful and accommodating when I needed help arranging a trip to Angkor.

Everything was clean but in some cases the walls and sheets were stained and electrical appliances rusted, which gave the initial appearance of being dirty. If you intend to buy a meal in the communal area, you have to take the initiative and ask for a menu, then call someone over to order, then call someone over again when you're finished and ready to pay. Then the quality of my food was so-so - in spite of their long menu, I had the feeling they were not normally in the food business.

The main manager was a great host, made you feel welcome, great customer service. Location was great too close enough to shops and bar street but far enough away to be quite. Pool was beautiful and all the hotel was very clean.

Was told by the owner that you could borrow bikes, but next day you had to pay for rent. Music sometimes too load in the afternoon chill time but ask and they will turn it down

The place was really nice and the swimming pool was great and breakfast was included. We booked a room with air-conditioning but I wished we had booked a room with a fan cause it was half the price and we didn't really use the a/C. We got by just fine with the fan. The manager Kunn is very friendly and easy-going. If you decide to do the floating village tour, do with them because a lot of tourists got ripped off trying to do it on their own. Also, we were very happy to find out that they had a van/bus from Siem Reap to Bangkok for 14$. It was much cheaper than the other way around. But be prepared! The bus from Siemp Reap to the border Cambodia-Thailand is not the most comfortable one but the van from the border to Bangkok is! But again, the complete journey was 14$! Definitely worth it (in my opinion).

The girl who works in the reception. She could try being a little more friendly. When you want to do laundry you pay it per kilo and not per load so you have to weigh it. I took down a load of laundry which she weighed and told me it was 2k and 200 grams. Since it was 1$ (I think) per kilo, I thought I would have to pay 2$ but no. She wanted me to pay 2$ plus the 200 grams in their money (that's very different but that's how they do it in Cambodia. They don't use dollar coins. The cents amount you have to pay with their currency.) Anyways, since I had only dollars on me, I took out a pair of shorts. Now my load of laundry weighed 1 kilo and 800 grams. I gave her 2$ thinking she would give me back some change for the 200 grams, but no! She put on this poker face, played dumb like a lot of them do down there and just walked away. Other than that, the place was nice. My next comment is not about the hotel at all. It is just about cambodia: Do not accept 2$ bills. Some people will give it to you as change but then you will have the hardest time using them to pay for things. They are very wierd about them. I wanted to buy post cards from a little girl and I was going to buy two packs for 2$. I only had 2-dollar bills on me at the time and she asked me to give her two 1-dollar bills. I told her I didn't have any. She asked me to try changing it. I asked some tuk-tuk drivers but no-one wanted to change them. In the end, she preferred not selling the post cards to me to taking the 2-dollar bill I had. Also, make sure the dollar bills they give to you are in perfect condition otherwise you will have a hard time paying with them. No scratches, no taped bills, no drawings, nothing.

Yasmine 2 has very nice rooms, looks brand new. Nice pool and good food.

We moved to Yasmine 1 for one night and it was fine, but a little less comfort and it takes a 5 minute walk to reach the pool and restaurant at Yasmine 2.

The pool and garden area is great. The room was fine.

The food from the restaurant made me sick. The staff did the job, but weren't that friendly.

Waterpool was great. Clean and comfortable for cheap price.

Good wifi was only in the lobby. No soap in the bathroom.

Just amazing, very nice hotel! The staff is lovely, rooms are clean and nice and quiet. Pool is clean and just great! Restaurant offers very good food, cheap prices. We can really recommend this hotel to people who wants to accomodate in a nice, quiet place with cheap price.

The rooms are little (we had three persons) but we were aware it before we booked the hotel. So it didn´t bother us.
